Broker FAQ

How do I change my contact/registration information?

Answer:  Login and click the My Profile button and make the changes.

What happens after I submit my loan scenario?

Answer:  The scenario is immediately visible on the MortgageeLink web site.  An email notification containing the Loan ID number and a brief summary of your scenario is sent to all Wholesale Lender A.E.s that can accept loans where the property is located.  A.E.s can view your scenario and Pre-Qualify it.  If it fits their guidelines, the A.E. will contact you using a web form on our site.

How long after I submit my loan scenario will I have to wait for a lender to reply?

Answer:  You could receive replies within a few minutes, hours or days.  If the loan is very difficult, it could take a couple of days before you get a reply.

If a lender tells me they can close my loan, where do I send the complete loan package?

Answer:  You will send the loan application package directly to the lender.

If my company subscribes to MortgageeLink, are we automatically approved with the Wholesale Lenders that use MortgageeLink?

Answer:  No.  If you want to send a loan to a particular lender, your company must get signed up with that lender.

Do the Wholesale Lenders charge higher rates or points for loan scenarios that are Pre-Qualified through MortgageeLink?

Answer:  No.  The Lenders use the exact same wholesale pricing that they use when they drop ratesheets off at your office.

Do the Wholesale Lenders pay any money to MortgageeLink either directly or indirectly?

Answer:  No.  MortgageeLink is completely FREE for Wholesale Lenders.  However, some Wholesale Lenders pay for Advertising space on our web site.

Will I get a lot of SPAM sent to my email account if I subscribe to MortgageeLink?

Answer:  There is no reason why you would get SPAM after registering with MortgageeLink.  We DO NOT sell or transfer our list of registered users to any third party.  Registered Wholesale Lenders may contact you by email AFTER they provide you with a rate quote related to one of your submitted loan scenarios.
